Singapore English Study Tour

The English department organized a Singapore English study tour for students from August 1st to August 7th. This study tour provided a precious opportunity for the students. Not only did the students improve their English communication skills and gain a deeper understanding of different cultures through various cultural activities and interactive English classes, they also had the chance to visit Singapore's famous attractions, enriching their knowledge and broadening their horizons. In addition, students had to use English as the medium of communication throughout the tour, which allowed them to apply their English skills while touring.

During the tour, we brought students to visit many of Singapore's iconic attractions such as Merlion Park, Chinatown, Little India, etc. Through these visits, students learned about Singapore's history and multiculturalism, tasted various cuisines, and gained an in-depth understanding of the differences and similarities between cultures. Visiting Gardens by the Bay and the NEWater Visitor Centre also enabled students to see rare flowers and plants from around the world and learn how NEWater helps alleviate Singapore's water shortage problems.

This study tour provided a valuable opportunity for students to experience international cultural exchange while learning English. It enriched and broadened their knowledge and perspectives, and also improved their language skills and cross-cultural communication abilities.
